This is a last minute addition to the record. Recorded the day of the Sweet Lazy Day Queen photo-shoot.
After listening to the finished record it was brought up that Paul sang main vocals on only "Einstein's Wife".
I wrote this through Paul's eyes in reference to his love-life at the time. And a concept fleshed out in the book 'The Art of Seduction', by Robert Greene.
I've never read it.
But.
It is also partially based on a chapter in the book 'The Ancestor's Tale', by Richard Dawkins. The chapter is called 'A Peacock's Tale".
read it!!!!
lyrics
PEACOCK
Light, light let’s take it slow
Get it right, right see how it goes
Want you ‘round more than now and then
Just a peacock with no peahen
I’M SOME GUYS & YOU’RE SOME GIRLS
HERE IN THIS WORLD
THIS BLUE OLD WORLD
I’M SOME GUY & YOU’RE SOME GIRL
HERE IN THIS WORLD
THIS BLUE OLD WORLD
AHH
Joke, joke every joke
Every smug line come un-broke
Followed ja ja ja quip anecdote
Every smart little Dawkin’s quote,yeah
I’M SOME GUYS & YOU’RE SOME GIRLS
HERE IN THIS WORLD
THIS BLUE OLD WORLD
I’M SOME GUY & YOU’RE SOME GIRL
HERE IN THIS WORLD
THIS BLUE OLD WORLD
AHH
Did I choose you?
Did you chooose me?
Was it the kick or atrophy ?
And how long to stick around?
Did I choose you?
Did you choose me?
Eyes , or a scent, or entropy?
And when will it all come crashing down?
Not just us but everything like moon or mars
Light, light let’stake it slow
Get it right, right see how it goes
Wan’t you ‘round more than now and then
Just a peacock with no peahen
I’M SOME GUYS & YOU’RE SOME GIRLS
HERE IN THIS WORLD
THIS BLUE OLD WORLD
I’M SOME GUY & YOU’RE SOME GIRL
HERE IN THIS WORLD
THIS BLUE OLD WORLD
AHH
